During my studies, I experimented with different approaches to photography, incorporating experimental and environmentally friendly methods. I strove for analog processes that were more sustainable than their digital counterparts, intentionally allowing for experimentation and inviting failure in order to address my perfectionism.
During my first attempts to create cyanotypes on glass, the brush used to apply the emulsion in the darkroom became 'contaminated' with darkroom chemicals, some of which contain salts. Rather than disposing of the 'failed attempt', I examined the structures further, resulting in colorful microscopic compositions.
